We all know that face masks can be a little pricey. If you're like me, you aren't able to dish out big bucks for a little jar of clay that doesn't work. Here are some of the best recipes I have found over the years that work wonders for acne, and only cost a few dollars! As an added bonus, it's all natural and you know exactly what you're putting on your skin. No guessing!

    1. Honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg mask! This will work wonders for acne prevention and preventing future breakouts. Excess sebum is what causes you to break out and honey will break down that extra that isn't needed. Cinnamon has natural antibacterial properties that helps fight acne bacteria. Nutmeg is a great effective yet gentle exfoliator! Mix together 2 Tbsp of honey, 1 Tsp of ground cinnamon, and 1 Tsp of ground nutmeg. Apply this mask to your face and rinse after 15 minutes!

    1. Honey, lemon juice, and baking soda mask! This mask will aid in targeting any present breakouts. Honey is able to moisturize and soften while breaking down excess sebum. Lemon juice will help with hyperpigmentation and is slightly antibacterial. Baking soda will help calm down your skin while being antibacterial also. Just mix together 1 Tbsp of honey, 1/2 Tsp of lemon juice, and 1/2 Tsp of baking soda. Apply to your face and rinse after 15 minutes!

    1. Egg white, lemon juice and honey mask! This one is my personal favorite that I swear by. This mask will aid in tightening and toning your face more than anything, but is still good for acne because of the antibacterial properties in lemon juice. The egg whites work miracles with shrinking pores and evening your skin tone. Honey breaks apart that excess sebum while softening your skin. While the rest is tightening and toning, lemon juice will aid in lightening any unwanted dark spots. Mix 1/2 Tbsp of lemon juice, 1 egg white, and 1/2 Tbsp of honey. Let this mask sit until it gets hard (around 20 minutes) and then rinse off!

  1. Oatmeal, milk, honey, and water mask! This one hydrates while managing breakout out. Oatmeal is able to gently exfoliate your skin. Milk softens the skin while aiding in the anit-inflammatory department. And once again, honey breaks down that extra sebum that makes us break out. Water is able to thin out the mask for an easy, even application. Mix together 1/2 cup of raw oats, 1/2 cup milk, 1 Tbsp of honey, and 1/2 cup of water. Cook this over medium heat for 5 minutes and let cool until lukewarm. Apply evenly to your face and let sit for 15 minutes before rinsing!
