The No-Makeup Makeup Look December 01 2016, 0 Comments
I like to consider myself as a facial minimalist. Meaning, I wear a lot of makeup but it doesn’t look like it’s there.
My skin complexion has allowed me to wear the no-makeup look and it doesn’t look like it’s there. I also have another skill I can wear a bunch of makeup, and it doesn’t look like it.
I believe that is called the no-makeup makeup look. People wear makeup, but they don’t wear too much so it looks like they aren’t wearing anything. Now when I say a bunch I don’t mean like ultra-cake, I’m just saying it is a bunch considering I am going for a natural look.
I am usually running to the store and sometimes I like to look presentable. Why? Because I am one of those individuals that run into EVERY SINGLE PERSON they don’t want to when they look raggedy, and yet NOONE when I am looking presentable. So, in order to beat this-I make sure I look presentable at least 1 day out of the weekend or if I am running errands.
I am not one who needs makeup, but I like to wear a bit just to make me look like I actually woke up versus me being a mom-bie.
There are varying degrees of my no makeup look- sometimes I will go into full contour, and other times I will put a hat on and only put makeup on the lower half of my face. Because I have big eyes, I like to add liner but some people think I don’t have foundation on (since that is a thing people do…) so it still works.
All of this must take no more than 15 minutes. How I mastered this, I don’t know. I think it is because I am always running late, so I had to figure out how to apply my makeup as fast and as nice as possible. I learned how to contour and bake in less than 5 minutes and I can line my eye so fast it should win me things. This look lasts me all day and for that I am grateful.
