No Matter What, You are Beautiful May 12 2017, 0 Comments

I may be only eighteen years old, but I think I have experienced a lot in those eighteen years. One thing I have realized, is that looks are not all that important. Everyone one of us was designed to be special and unique. We all have flaws, even the most "perfect" of celebrities. Everyone has had a pimple at some point in their life, but some people have had it worse than others. However, no matter what, we are all beautiful. But, there is nothing wrong with wanting to look our best, and I think there are healthy and safe ways to complete those goals.

I think it is funny that the older I get, I see how irrational I was as a young teenager. I still have a whole life ahead of me, but I have realized many of my mistakes already. There is nothing wrong with wanting your skin to be the best it can be. That being said, you need to compare your current skin condition to your own past and not compare your skin to others. Here I am, writing an eight-page blog about my trials and hardships dealing with my skin, and I want to experience something that might help my skin, but I always want to be rational and know I am great the way I am. I will be starting college soon, and I would love for my skin to look healthy and smooth. However, I know if I didn't have the opportunity to treat my skin, I can still love myself.

My skin is flawed. I am a flawed human being. We all are. I have made great mistakes both physically and mentally. We live in a world full of wanting perfection and wanting to prettier than others. However, we need to learn to love ourselves firstly and how to improve ourselves the best we can. It is scary to see how young girls start out already wanting to have the perfect hourglass body, but the only way they can get it is by performing dangerous surgeries or using dangerous products that can harm our bodies.

However, there are also products that are safe to use and are meant to help improve our looks without completely changing them. There is an important difference between those two things. I would love it if I can diminish the appearance of my scars. But, no matter what, I know I am beautiful the way I am and so are you.
