Sometimes you get acne on places on your face and just can’t figure out what’s causing it. These breakouts may actually be signs of complications in your body. Through face mapping, you can understand why your face is breaking out in that portion of your face. Here are a few general breakout areas, why they’re breaking out, and how you can resolve this issue. 

Where you’re breaking out: Forehead
  • Why you’re breaking out:
    • Digestive system problems, such as consuming too many unhealthy foods or drinks
    • Using hair products that can be sensitive to the skin; Having your hair in your face
  • How to resolve this issue:
    • Refrain from consuming processed foods or refined sugar. Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins.
    • Use hair products that are safer for the skin; tie your hair back and keep it away from your face
    • Additionally, try to have a regular sleeping schedule where you sleep early and wake up early 
Where you’re breaking out: Chin
  • Why you’re breaking out:
    • Hormones; women generally tend to break out around their chin area during their time of the month
    • Stress
  • How to resolve this issue:
    • Take Omega-3s to help regulate your hormones; massage the abdomen region of the body
    • De-stress through physical activities such as exercise or meditation or through other means, such as listening to music, reading a book, writing a story

  • Why you’re breaking out:
    • Lung problems
    • Hormones
    • Dirty products touching your face
    • Using harmful products on your face
  • How to resolve this issue:
    • Get some fresh air and do breathing exercises
    • Take Omega-3s to help regulate your hormones
    • Change your linens, such as bed covers or towels; wash your makeup brushes and sponges; wipe your phone
    • Use hypoallergenic/skin-sensitive products, such as detergents, makeup, cleansers 
Where you’re breaking out: Nose
  • Why you’re breaking out:
    • Over-consumption of foods high in sodium, too spicy, or too oily
    • Face washes clogging your pores
  • How to resolve this issue:
    • Try eating lighter foods, such as fruits and vegetables; refrain from consuming foods that have too many spices, soups high in sodium, and fast foods
    • Find a face wash that is non-comedogenic to prevent clogging your pores. Exfoliate at least once a week 

These are general guidelines for most cases of acne; factors can differ from person to person. No matter where you are breaking out, it is always important to have a healthy, balanced diet, engaging in at least 30 minutes of physical activity, and getting enough
