Adult Hormonal Acne Internal Clearing Method June 01 2017, 0 Comments

If you are searching for a way to internally clear up your adult hormonal acne, you’ve found the right place. I have been an adult hormonal acne sufferer for 6 years, and I will be the first one to tell you that diet is key in preventing your acne from getting worse.

As much as I would like to say that eating poorly is the root cause of acne, it is not. However, foods can aggravate adult hormonal acne, and create a larger problem. What I mean by this, is that your body and genetics may have genes that say your body will produce acne at one point or the next, however, eating something like dairy could turn your one or two pimples, into fifty.

This concept was really hard for me to make sense of, but it was the truth for me. My food triggers for acne were always foods high in starch, sugar, and dairy content. I would break out severely when eating mass quantities of pasta, pizza, brownies, sandwiches, chips, candies, ice cream, and foods like that.

I would break out severely when eating mass quantities of pasta, pizza, brownies, sandwiches, chips, candies, ice cream, and foods like that.

However, I did notice that when I ate a diet high in omega 3 fatty acids, lean protein, low sugar and a lot of greens, my complexion improved. I eat a diet that mostly consists of chicken breast, tons of vegetables, some fruit, some starch, and heaps of water. Eating this way allows me to indulge in some chocolate or “Flamin’ Hot Cheetos” once in a while, without breaking out.

For me, eating really clean and having unhealthy foods as a reward was worth it in clearing up my skin. I did not seem to have much luck with vitamins, however, I found that taking a daily probiotic really helped my skin and my energy. I recommend a probiotic by “Garden of Life”, but just so you know, the taste of it is on another level. My roommate always says it reminds her of rabbit food, so gulp it down quick of you decide to take it.

One thing I’d like to mention is that this was not the only thing that cleared my skin up.  I also had a topical regimen that I religiously stuck to and that is very helpful as well. The regimen is actually by acne.org, and I have noticed a huge transformation in my skin. But my skin cleared up the best when I used the regimen and was also eating very healthy. Just remember to stay patient with yourself and that your skin doesn’t define who you are.  You are more than just what is on the outside, but either way, happy skin clearing!
