We all know by now that the practice of yoga can do amazing things for our bodies. But, could doing yoga regularly also improve acne? In the world of yoga, there are over hundreds of moves and poses that can be done to stretch muscles and improve blood flow, which revitalizes and refreshes parts of the body. But, what if there were certain moves that can also bring amazing blood circulation to our face? Well, there actually is! Before attempting any of these yoga poses, find a safe and comfortable place to do these moves.

Take your time, and never stay in a pose more than a minute. If you have trouble understanding the technique of these poses in writing, they can all be found on So, here are the top three yoga moves that will send unbeatable blood flow to the face.

The first one, and probably the easiest, is one known as the “Downward Dog”. Starting one your hands and knees, lift your body up in the air, keeping your legs straight and your body balanced. Slowly, pull deeper into the stretch, moving your head closer and closer to your legs. In no time, you’ll begin to feel your face becoming heated with blood flow! The next one is known as the “Easy Plow Pose”. To start, lay down on your back in a straight form.

Using your legs, lift your hips off the ground, using your hands to keep you from falling if needed. With your legs bent, slowly pull your body farther and farther above your head. This stretch will not only bring great blood flow to your face, but will also stretch the upper back and shoulders, relieving built up tension.

Abilities vary on this stretch, so don’t worry if you can’t go too far yet, just do your best! The final one is called the “Upward bow pose”, which you may be very familiar with if you are a cheerleader or gymnast. For beginners, start off by laying down on your back. Plant your whole foot firmly on the ground. Then, put your arms in a bent position alongside your head, palms pressed firmly on the ground. (Fingers should be facing your shoulders.) When ready, use your hands and feet to lift your body of the ground, until you have made an upside-down “U” shape. Since this pose involves lots of back and arm strength, don’t be discouraged if you can only hold it for five to ten seconds.

It’s all about practice! Although there are countless other yoga poses that can improve upper body blood circulation, these three poses in particular are well-known for their ability to turn a face bright pink in as little as ten seconds! So, pick up that yoga mat and water bottle, and try out some of these poses. Just remember to be careful and don’t push yourself too hard. It’s just about having fun and getting the body moving!
