Lifestyle Tips for Better Skin

Do you live a stressful, on-the-go lifestyle? Do you have dull, tired, oily skin because of it? If you answered yes to these questions, then what your skin may need is a lifestyle change. With these tips, you will learn how to improve your skin by adapting your routine to your lifestyle.
Wash Your Face
Rule number one of clear skin: never go to sleep with a dirty face. Be sure to wash your face every night, even if you are tired. If you are wearing makeup, it is highly important that you wash your face and properly remove any and all traces of makeup to reduce your chances of getting clogged pores. If you are in a rush or just super sleepy, simply wipe your face with a makeup wipe and do a quick swipe of toner.
Wash Your Pillowcases
Your pillowcases harbor a huge amount of dirt and bacteria. All of the oils from your face and your hair care products collect on your pillowcases, so it is imperative that you wash them at least once a week. Switching out your cases will immediately improve your skin, especially if you tend to breakout on your cheeks or anywhere your face hits the pillow.
Wash Your Phone Case
Your phone case is another unexpected item that harbors dirt and debris. Constantly pressing your phone up against your face can cause dirt and oil to accumulate, allowing it to get clogged in your pores. Wiping down your phone case with an antibacterial wipe is a quick and easy way to keep your phone case clean. Another way to reduce build-up on your phone is to use your headphones whenever possible.
Wash Your Towels
If you use a wash cloth to wash your face, wash it frequently, along with the towel you use to dry your face. Even though your face is clean, there can be leftover bacteria on your face that can get transferred to your towels. If you do not wash them very often, your towels can accumulate bacteria that can then spread to your face. To avoid putting back all of the dirt and oil you just washed off your face, switch out your towels weekly.
Wash Your Hands
Before you begin to wash your face or apply any facial product, wash your hands. Bacteria from your hands can be transferred to your face and possibly your facial products if they are housed in jar containers.
Wash Your Makeup Brushes
Just like our hands, our makeup brushes can house bacteria, and you do not want to put dirty makeup brushes on a clean face, so be sure to wash your brushes after each use.
