Great Products to wear under your Makeup

By: Tianna

When some people wear makeup they sometimes forget to take care of the under lying problem before they cover it up. Putting on Makeup is very cute and all but you cannot keep it on 24/7 and maintaining the skin under your makeup is crucial to keep it healthy and as clear as possible. By doing this you help better the skin and boost your self-esteem.

Here are some Products I use to keep my acne at bay under my makeup and my skin moisturized:

*You want to set a smooth canvas to work on*

Clean and Clear Dual Action Moisturizer 4 Fl oz ($4.97 + tax at Walmart)- I use this to moisturize first it has salicylic acid in it which helps with keeping acne at bay and preventing it. It also gives off a tingly feeling when applied to the face and it does not make your face greasy or leave your face dry. However I do not use this as my everyday moisturizer it is only used when I am wearing makeup.

Monistat Chafing gel 1.5 fl oz ($5.98 + tax at Walmart)- This gel was a new find, I discovered it when I was getting my Prom Makeup done. After prom when I washed my makeup off my skin my was extremely soft and smooth like a babies bottom. This gel is clear and it goes on smoothly I usually switch in between this Monistat gel and milk of magnesia as primers but in my Opinion the Monistat gel is much better and it does not feel greasy on my face being as though I have oily skin.

Phillip’s Milk of Magnesia 26 Fl oz ($3.99 + tax at Walmart)- When I first started using makeup this was my first choice of a primer. People raved about it being inexpensive and keeping oily skin at bay wearing makeup during the day. Milk of Magnesia is a white creamy liquid for anyone who isn’t sure what the color or consistency is, it goes on your face and dries white. This product does make your makeup going on very smoothly I will forever have this in my stash of makeup as a primer along with my chafing gel.

*Any moisturizer with Salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide can be used under makeup as long as it is not drying for your fast. These are just some products I suggest that work well for me.
