When Less Equals More May 11 2015, 0 Comments
If someone would have told me this a year ago, I would have smiled, and walked away. Thanks for the tip, but no thanks.
I used to wash my face three times a day. Add masks on in between, which called for more than 3 washes a day. My skin was dry most of the time and I was really scared of breaking out.
At that time I didn’t have any product that would help lessen my acne. It would just come, and take me a very very long time to get rid of again. I think I had been using so many creams, that my skin just got immune to it, and they stopped working. I was always on the search for a new product to get rid of all the pimples I had.
I used it for a night, woke up the next morning, if it did not clear up at least a little of the acne it went right to the cabinet that was stuffed with all the other creams that I had and did not work either.
If there is one thing I could say to my younger self it would be only to use one acne cream and use it for a longer period of time. I had started doing that in the days when I only got pimples when I had my period. And even then It would either be one massive one or two little ones, but that was it. (miss those days soo much)
I would put a tiny drop of salicylic acid on the affected area, and the pimple would reduce in size by 50% the next day. In 2-3 days max the pimple was dried out, and did not leave a scar. Then I started trying something different, as my breakouts got a little worse. I had hoped that the other product would work faster and better than the one I had before. (whyyyyyyyy) The new product I bought did not work. I desperately tried going back to the other. No success. My skin did not react to it anymore.
I suggest once you find something that works for your skin, to stick to it as using a lot of different products can change the balance of your skin, and something that has worked before, may not work the same when you go back to it.
